Parts:
1) Introduction, probabilities, hypothesis testing and confidence intervals, test statistics
2) Model building in RooFit, signal and background models, constructing likelihood ratios and other test statistics
3) Nuisance parameters (introducing them in models and dealing with them in hypothesis testing), using RooStats for limit setting and hypothesis testing.
4) Expected limits, asymptotic formulae, the look-elsewhere effect, the Standard Model Brout-Englert-Higgs boson search combination as example
Each module is ~40 minutes to 1 hour of lecture followed by ~2 hours of hands-on exercise.
